Xbox Live Co-Op Game Night for January: Gears of War 2

Our first co-op night of the new year is none other than Gears of War 2.  We'll be playing the 2 player campaign mode in co-op via Xbox Live as well as the 5 player co-op Horde mode.  The fun bbegins at 7:30 PM Eastern on January 15th, 2009.

Gears of War 2 features a two player co-op mode through the game's entire story - this mode features drop in and drop out play as well as the ability for each player to choose their own respective difficulty. 

The 5 player co-op Horde mode allows players to face off against wave after wave of increasingly difficult Locust horde.  Teamwork is essential for survival.

 

 

To join up simply use the game's built in match making features to find other co-op gamers.  There will be plenty of people looking to game!  You can also send a friend request to the gamertag co optimus and utilize the friends of friends feature to find other gamers.

So make sure you keep your lancer well oiled and gassed up, we look forward to seeing you on January 15th!  As always we'll be broadcasting a video feed right on this page!  So be sure to check it out.

Yah! I should actually be able to play in a coop night! I'll make sure to keep my calendar clear for the 15th.

Now I actually need to unwrap Gears 2 and give it a spin. Dead Space and Fable 2 have been taking up my post Christmas time.

I'm thrilled about this, I've yet to play Horde mode and am only a bit into Act 2. I've had a hard time getting on for Horde mode with anyone! Very ready to rock out.

Sure, if no one else starts one up I'll start a Horde room around 8PM CST or so. Might not be a bad idea for people to call out what modes they'd like to play, we can sort of sign folks up as we go along...

I'll be there, up for doing horde mode with the wifey if you guys dont mind too. Baldy can give my wife the vouch she is a pretty decent player when our son isn't screaming his head off .

That's awesome! Hopefully I'll still be able to make it. I've been down with the flu for the last several days and am now way behind on stuff I intended on getting done this week. I might end up working as I'm finally feeling better today.

LOL...Yeah, I can already guess....Cliffy-B will be there so that I can B-slap him for such an EPIC-FAIL of a glitched game!!!! SHWEET!! The line will be wrapped around the entire crappy map of stasis waiting to B-slap him.

Awesome times last night! Finally got to meet up with Courtney ("roland" here on the boards) and we had a full room for several rounds of Horde. I played from 730CST to midnight! What a blast. Thanks to Nick and all the staff for setting up everything.

Did anyone get to play with a developer? If so tell us how it went!
