Xbox Live Co-Op Night for August: Halo 3

8PM EDT on Thursday, August 20th

That's right, we're going back to our roots for this month's co-op night! With all the talk of Halo 3: ODST it's time to get in the Spartan mood with the original Halo 3 and its four player co-op campaign.

Festivities kick off at 8PM on Thursday, August 20th. To join up look for the following gamertags online:

co optimus
bapenguin
pherbear
Van Lingo
Shadokat Regn
DjinniMan

The goal is to play through as many campaign levels as we can, work on getting any skulls you might be missing, and just generally having a good ol' co-op time!

The Co-Op Experience in Halo 3

Halo 3 supports up to 4 Players for co-op play via Xbox Live. You can even play 2 players splitscreen cooperating with 1 or 2 other players over Xbox Live.

Player one will control the Master Chief, player two will control the Arbiter and players three and four will control two new Elite characters: N’tho ‘Sraom and Usze ‘Taham.

yeah but you guys don't bitch and moan if you can't get an achievement or not everyone is agreeing to go out of the way to help you or someone makes one wrong move and goofs up etc.

It's always Eastern Standard Time, because Co-Optimus is "headquartered" on the eastern US coast. For future reference.
That's GMT -4 hours, I believe.

Finished all three Halo games on Legendary in solo... but I'm up for Legendary with skulls.

Anyone looking to get the level scoring achievements (eg, score 15'000 in level 1), I'll share the easy way with you. First off, don't play Heroic. Bungie suggests Heroic with one or two skulls. Don't. Instead, play on Easy with all skulls turned on. (Iron off if you want.) Bumrush your way through there, it should be easy even if solo. It's still easier than a plain Normal!
