Xbox Live Co-Op Night October: Gears of War

It's October 1st, and that means a brand new month.  And with a new month comes a new Xbox 360 Co-Op Game night.  In an effort to hype up the sequel to one of the best co-op games ever, we are having another Gears of War Co-Op Night.

Gears of War is one of our top rated co-op games with almost 100 votes and a 4.3 average!  It seriously is one of the best and most seamless cooperative experiences you can have on any platform. 

The game supports two players via Split Screen, LAN, or Xbox Live.  One player controls the main character of Marcus Fenix while the other player assumes the role of Dominic Santiago.  To survive the onslaught of the locust horde you'll need to work together by providing cover, communicating, and just generally watching each other's backs. 

There's a 2 disc edition available which features a sneak peak at Gears of War 2 - so if you don't have the game yet now is a good time to snag it for co-op.  And don't forget to preorder Gears of War 2 - including the limited edition lancer bundle at Amazon! 

To join up simply use XBox Live's built in match making that night, or send a friend request to the gamertag: co optimus.  Grab your controller, grab a buddy and hop on Xbox Live on October 16th for some Gears of War Co-Op!

The number of times I have played thru this game now is reaching a ridiculous level. But every time has been co-op.

I have band practice this evening but will try to join after if anyone is still playing. I would like to prepare for Gears 2 by getting back into Gears 1 for a spell. I still have yet to beat the game on Insane so hopefully I can do so before Gears 2.
