Giant Robot Deathmatch...On The Wii

Blake "broodax" Corner March 20th, 2008 at 5:12 PM

As IGN has so kindly detailed, Data Design Interactive is bringing its 3rd person robot shooter, Battle Rage to the Wii. The game will be called Battle Rage: Robot Wars and will consist of arena battles where a single player or a team can take out enemy robots (seems straightforward enough). Not much is known about the game, but game will use the Wii's motion controls and will feature, amongst other things:

* Robot Customization.
* Compelling mechanics (Rage, Rush, Power Traingle).
* Special Attacks (push, stun and other unique abilities for each robot).
* Robots allowed to fight with 3 weapons at the same time (two ranged and one melee).
* 8 different robots.
* 20 weapons.
* 10 arenas.

For fans of the Custom Robo series, or anyone who likes to watch robots destroy each other (and who doesn't?), this game may be right up your alley.

I hate your Avatar, there is no monocle and no top hat! How can you do that!
I'd love to have that! Also, could you somehow implement the avatar in it? I like my avatar.
Unfortunately some developers consider it "co-op" if you can have more than one player that can play.
I'm thinking about getting a new set anyways.My mom complains about the noise. Maybe I'll open it up just to see...
