Co-Op Knockout Blow - "50 Cent: Blood on the Sand" Better than "Killzone 2"

Remember when we told you that Killzone 2 was dropping any hope of having a co-op mode? Looks like that mistake has cost Guerilla Games dearly. How so? In the latest issue of mens magazine Maxim, they review both 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand and the upcoming PS3 exclusive Killzone 2.
Maxim gave Killzone 2 a three and a half blue dotty things out of five stating the game was "the hottest girl at the ball, but not the best dancer."
Our boy 50? "A Wanksta-proof gem, Sand combines arcade-style collecting, 18 new music tracks, co-op play and a story that's Indiana Jones meets Scarface."
Final round Killzone 2 gray orange glowy eyed dude - you're TKO'd. Better luck next year! Proof positive that co-op triumphs all.

If that's not proof co-op makes better games, I don't know what is.

Yeah, I don't get it... really. A co-op mode would've fit a game like KZ2 perfectly.
I liked Army of Two better because of the co-op and third-person perspective. Unfortunately, EA still hasn't figured out how to properly implement online capabilities, so no one ever played.
Killzone 2 is probably an awesome game for fans of the genre (I really liked the first one), but if 50 Cent is more fun because you can play with a buddy...well, how can you argue with that?
Why so? I see Killzone as just a huge hype machine. It's an exclusive FPS title coming out for a platform that's never been known for great FPS games. The first Killzone garnered mild interest and mediocre reviews. Of course that's all in the past, and Killzone 2 could turn out to be a great game. It could also very well turn out to be inferior to the new 50 Cent game.
I'm fairly sure I've never run into any arcade shooter where collecting was a big part of it, sans shooting life-ups in House Of The Dead 2 before your partner.
