Girls in Bikinis are Deadly and Comedic in Onechanbara's Latest Screens and Videos

Warning, the following post is going to confuse, baffle and perhaps excite you.

Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers and Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad are nearing their early February release dates.  The former is a Wii title while the latter is a 360 title.  Both feature Asian Girls in Bikinis.  Both features Zombies.  Both features realtime co-op ginsu slicing action.  Both feature Awesome.

As you can imagine the marketing for something like this is truly limitless - so what did D3 Publisher do when presented with this opportunity?  They made comedic skits, that's what!  The three skits called "Wed then Dead", "Bikini Girl Birthday" and "Don't be Rude" are interesting to say the least.  The low budget production values add to the already over the top name of the games.

As evidence from the Xbox 360 screen above, this game is a bit on the...shall we say eXtreme side.  We have a handful of new screenshots from this two player co-op hack and slash as well as all three video shorts after the Read More link.  Though really...there's no reading required.

How can this not be good. All the ingredients are here for pure camp goodness.

I wonder how long I can convince someone to sit down and co-op this with me without feeling like a creep.

The Internet phrase...what was it...Oh right, "WTF" comes to mind - but not necessarily in a (really) bad way. The last time I saw something like this, I was going to "Bring you a death like you've never felt before" as one of the few people that ignored the actual game Bullet Witch but loved the eXtreme cheesiness contained within.

Wow, I really wasn't expecting live action skits, something more like CGI or machina. All I ask is that its fun, it can be cheesy, campy, or outright bad in many respects, just be fun.

Theme aside, this might actually be a good game. Also anything made with this little seriousness is bound to be extremely funny.

I dunno, the Bullet Witch concept sounded solid, then they made that.... thing.

Hopefully the controls in this will allow for decent gameplay, then I'd be interested to at least rent it.

Games are just getting weirder every year. Still if it's good I'm sure I'll give it a go, but nothing catches my eye...yet

Now I'm a lot more interested. Shotgunning giant ants FTW!
