Developer Insomniac has made their blockbuster title, Sunset Overdrive, available to the public via a limited time free trial. If the game caught your eye at one point, but you didn't want to fork up the cash to play it, take advantage of this perfect opportunity!
For a limited time, players can try Sunset Overdrive out through free trial made available by Insomniac. Anyone who is an Xbox One Gold subscriber has the can to download the game at absolutely no cost starting today through June 15th. The free trial gives players the chance to play the game for a total of 3 hours; plenty of time to experience it's craziness. Additionally, the full game, the deluxe edition, and the Season Pass are all also on sale (33% off) if the game is worthy enough for a purchase.
To get the most out of your free trial, the developers recommend downloading the full game before beginning to play it. The second the game launches, the timer begins to tick (even when running in the background). Be sure to close the game out entirely when wanting to save your trial minutes:
For best results with the three-hour trial, we recommend waiting for the game to download to 100% before you begin playing. While you can play earlier, you may have to wait for the game to continue installing!. Further, if you do quit the game mid-trial, be sure to actually exit the application (Xbox Home Button -> Menu Button -> Quit Game), to stop the timer! If you leave the game open while switching to another app like Watch TV, the timer may will continue in the background.
