Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 Drop on Consoles Tomorrow

The prophesies will be fulfilled

There were rumors abound last month, and Marvel has gone ahead and confirmed it. Remastered versions of Marvel Ultimate Alliance and its sequel will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC tomorrow.

Back in the mid-2000s when we were all yearning for a new action-RPG, Activision and Raven Software put one out that was far more than I think anyone expected. Not only did it feature a thoroughly comics inspired story and an impressive roster of playable heroes, the game supported four player co-op for both local and online play, a feature that wasn't all that common at that time. Even though the sequel, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, was developed by a different studio, it was a good follow-up set within the popular Civil War storyline.

For these remastered versions, there are "some UI and graphic enhancements as well as [enhancements for] making the games compatible with modern platform features." All of the possible playable characters will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, meaning no more console exclusive heroes.

The games will retail for $39.99 individually, or $59.99 as a bundle.
