Those ambitious chefs over at Overcooked! 2 seem to have done it all. They've diced veggies in the midst of zombified hordes. They've prepped fancy meals in the great outdoors. On September 12th, they'll dive headlong into their next adventure: satisfying the unfed masses of a wacky carnival.
"Carnival of Chaos" rounds out the game's season pass, with "Night of the Hangry Horde" and "Campfire Cook Off" preceding it. There's not much out for it yet besides a tidy, 20-second reveal trailer, but even that gives you all the information you could want. Presumably, some hapless carnival-goers need food to puke all over the rides, and you and your friends will be the ones giving it to them.
Once it arrives, the DLC can be purchased on its own or as part of the aforementioned season pass. Based on the trailer, all your standard carnival fare will be available: hot dogs, popcorn, and every other calorie-laden snack you can imagine (did I see a funnel cake?). Similarly, the levels appear to incorporate the cannons, weightlifters, and balloon animals you'd see at your average, everyday carnival.
Overcooked! 2 is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It offers four player co-op in both online and offline varieties, as well as any combination of the two. If you'd like to check out our review of the base game, you can find it here.
