Always Two There Are - Another Rumored Star Wars Game is Official, Plus Co-Op

Officially unveiling a rumored title to Entertainment Weekly, Krome Studios and LucasArts are showing the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 some Clone Wars love with Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes this September 15th.

The game will feature two-player co-op throughout the campaign; we're surmising from the gameplay trailer that online co-op is included, but neither online nor splitscreen are confirmed yet.

The game looks like a run-of-the-mill platformer/beat-em-up/shoot-em-up...standard Star Wars fare. I'm already envisioning Marc establishing who is the Master and who is the Apprentice at the Allie Temple.

I hope this is decent. The past few Star Wars games have been horrible, especially those based on the "Clone Wars" series, or that have that same look.

The only exceptions are Force Unleashed and Battlefront II.

Thanks for the shout out, Jim. I just can't get too excited about the Clone Wars stuff. I loved the cartoon that came out before Episode 3, but revisiting it now seems a bit pointless. I'd rather see what happens after 6!

I actually like the more "mature" style of the new Clone Wars episodes. The battle scenes show actual tactics, and it's pretty awesome. The drama is a bit much, though. The cartoon was great, but not near as serious...I like both in their own capacity.
