Aliens Colonial Marines Info Coming in Short Controlled Bursts

It's been some time since we've heard anything about Aliens: Colonial Marines from developer Gearbox Software.  Perhaps its because they've been so busy working on Borderlands, or perhaps there just wasn't much to tell.

Make no mistake, the four player co-op game is still in the works with more info arriving soon.

"I know that there hasn't been much talk about what we're doing for awhile and that more details would be very juicy. Like so many people, I've been patient for years to finally be able to play this game and now that I'm actually involved in the creation of it I can tell you that it's extremely challenging to continue to be patient as it develops," he told us.

"I want to tell all! But I can't. But I can say that we are working hard and that there are great things afoot and I know that when the time is right, Sega will be excited to share more details about the game. Until that time, I guess the only thing anyone can do is just keep pressuring Gearbox and Sega to spill more beans. Maybe one of us will eventually crack."

Hopefully we won't be waiting too much longer on this - or at the very least, we won't be waiting to much longer to hear news of the game.  Perhaps this will be an early 2010 release, then we can resume our "Game Over man" jokes.

early 2010 is probably wishful thinking. i'm guessing fall 2010. besides, this fall/winter is already flooded with co-op titles. they might be better off holding it.

That is unless it that fantastic it doesn't have to worry about competition. I remember AvP and Alien Ressurection from there prime days, hopfully that can recreate that magic.

Coop or not, I'm excited by this one.

Sabre, I'll rephrase that last sentence for you since you're new....

"I'm excited about this one ONLY for the co-op and NOTHING else!"

LOL

But yea, I'm looking forward to this but with a lot of stuff coming out (1 less cause Splinter Cell was pushed to 2010), this is going to be a crazy fall semester!

This game should be a L4D alike, but in the alien universe. Could and should be immense (although they will probably mess it up)

That would be so so good... imagine hundreds of aliens coming at you. Add into the mix classes and you're easily on to a winner.

I'm happy to delay it for another year if it means the game is completed properly.

I wish it was more L4D-like as in split-screen, but nOOOooooOOOooooo.

I never talk when I play online on COD. No one really says anything worth listening to, or no one talks whatsoever.
Part of me wants to crop the second picture you took, and add text. Something simple, like "Oh geez. . ." It's got the perfect f
BORDERLANDS! Hopefully finish my first playthrough! I'm on "The Final Piece" but I'll probably do side quests as well.
Did they make a remake on Gameboy Advance or something? I remember the name.
