Female Gear Possible In A Theoretical Gears Of War 3?
Have you ever wondered where all the women in the Gears of War universe went? Aside from the few slaves we've seen and Marcus's dispatcher love-interest Anya, there seems to be a specific shortage of the female variety. A few months ago I happened across a Gears of War comic which featured the above image on the cover, and thought to myself "That'd be so cool!" Apparently, I wasn't the only one.
Though it's not confirmed - that particular Gears of War comic book, and even Cliff Bleszinski himself, have hinted that this may happen if Gears of War 3 were to begin development.
Destructoid's Matthew Razak had the same bout of curiosity, accompanied by this theoretical situation from Cliff Bleszinski. Though, technically:
"there is no such thing as Gears of War 3 at the moment. Theoretically though, if said game was to exist, Bleszinski says that the female Gear from the cover of the Gears of War comic book pictured above “may or may not” be involved in the said theoretical videogame. This doesn't really confirm if she is playable, but even if she isn't it would be nice to have another person in the game without a neck as thick as my thigh."
Playable in co-op or not, having a bit more variety in those responsible for mankind's survival would be awesome. Perhaps we'll have another Horde mode with her as a playable character? All speculation of course, what do you think?

she's still there for looks is what i'm saying... tight, revealing clothes, hair that catches your eye. some of the male characters have scars but they're pretty ugly. plus the guys all wear huge armor that covers every inch of skin except their head (major weak spot but that's another topic).
again, not complaining, i'm just sayin'
I don't think you would be able to find a character design that would make everyone happy though. The Gears universe is basically one cliched character type after another. I don't see them breaking that trend with a female Gear.
Based on the artwork, I'm guessing would be a character like Vasquez from Aliens.

Pffffft. I lol'd.
Really I think this female character; if she is indeed designed this way, would have a lot of both mentioned types of possible female character. She's spunky looking, with attitude, strength, and is plenty feminine.
I have a hard time seeing why it's always such a big deal to put women in games, yet you can copy-paste the same macho guy for a lot of them. Variety is all I ask for!
Really; if anyone knows a costume maker - I'd don this garb at PAX, and I'd wear it proud.

Yeah, I'm not saying they CAN'T be on the battlefield. Their can be tough chicks. I just don't think the Gears want to lose any women right now.
Well I doubt she goes goes into battle without some form of chest armor. Aside from that she's dressed pretty much like all the other gears.
Mabye she's the 4th Carmine.
Oh man - that'd be horrible. Introduce a female gear, and she has to wear a helmet and die in some horrible way! Actaully, Carmine said he had 4 brothers; so it probably wouldn't happen that way - unless they pull a Pitch Black where they don't tell you the chick is a chick until later.

that'd be pretty cool but once again, she's the stereotypical hottie. not that i'm complaining but there's already one hottie in the gears games, why not have a touch chick? we covered this a bit when we were talking about borderlands too. either way its a welcomed change.
