Army of Two: The 40th Day Weapon Contest Winners

A few weeks ago we told you about a contest that the folks at EA were having for Army of Two: The 40th Day.  Gamers were asked to submit a unique weapon design, and if chosen, would be chosen to be in the game.  The designs are in and the winners have been chosen!

Say hello to the AS-KR1 "Ass Kicker Rifle".

The AS-KR1 dubbed "The Ass Kicker" chambers 7.62x39 ammo, providing pinpoint accuracy with use of a built-in range scope. The operator can load up to 3 types of ammo for the underslug shotgun. Normal shells, "Smart shells" for airburst eliminating targets behind cover and finally a non-lethal solution for crowd control, the Tazer Shell - which deploys fins and shock spikes after exiting the chamber - capable of delivering enough watts to completely override the central nervous system of any sized target.

Sounds sweet.  Can't wait to get our hands on that in co-op.

There's a second place weapon that also was chosen to be in the game called the Sniper Launcher.  This gun combines a sniper rifle and grenade launcher!

Player one will be kicking ass while player 2 will be sniping launches.  Or something like that.

So how do you unlock these sweet weapons?  All you need is your original save file from Army of Two.  More details can be found on the official site.

the AS-KR1 sounds pretty decent although i think they went a bit overboard with the tazer shell.

the sniper launcher is just silly. usually when i want a launch a grenade, i'm fighting enemies at mid-range, not long range. so the rifle part of it had better be at least semi-auto and have decent accuracy shooting from the hip

I did - but was informed that it wasn't feasible... carrying additional supplies of crocodiles would prove too inefficient.

I'd appeal that decision Zonf. Crocodiles are in ample supply in the world of Ao2!

Apparently wild crocs are no good - there is a rigorous training regime for ammo-crocs, even the slightest miss timed *chomp* could result in disaster for all.

I'm sure we all remember the RPC incident in the early 80's...
