Co-Opticast Episode 25: OMG He's In My Room!
It's a big episode - Episode 25. I believe this graduates us from amateur to "guys who sorta know what they are doing."

Crap, I have a giant podcast backlog I acquired for my week long trip and I didn't listen to any of it. I still have episode 24 to listen to. But congrats on 25 episodes! I've listened to most of them and loved them all!

Congrats on a quarter century!On Trine, it's not so much the $10 discount on PSN I'm waiting for, it's that I want to play couch co-op with the family. I only have 1 controller for my PC, so that limits us to two players, and I would rather do local on my big screen, not my monitor anyway.
The discount is just a bonus in my books.

same here... although considering how long its taking to get it on PSN, i doubt we'll ever see it on XBL
nice podcast. i like how you pointed out that both PC and consoles have their strengths. i hate it when those types of discussions are so charged with fanboyism or refusing to look at it from someone else's perspective. i had always been a PC gamer, but after getting married and having kids, consoles make a LOT more sense. i still totally understand why single people or someone married to a non-gamer would prefer PC over consoles.

I feel for you, smurfy. I love PC gaming (regardless of the fact I currently don't own a gaming PC), but Trine is something I'd rather play on my Xbox with friends than having two people cramped around my computer. roland at 07:45 AM on 8.11.2009
I'm in exactly the same boat. Though it's not just gaming with my family either, I even prefer consoles for single player a lot of the time. When I play a PC game, I'm sequestered away in my office. If I play a single player game in the living room, the girls are often there, hanging out, chatting with me, etc. So there is still some social interaction, even if one of us is playing a single player game (or gaming online).

Trine is probably best played on a console for co-op, as I said in my review, but with no release date given and none on the immediate horizon, I'd recommend giving the PC version a spin. HobocidalManiac at 11:26 AM on 8.12.2009

Hmm, Trine is currently 25 percentoff at Steam, until Aug. 19, which certainly negates some of that benefit towards waiting for the PSN release.

I am horrified that you did not warn of spoilers for the L4D DLC story. (well maybe not horrified, but upset).Otherwise, this was a good podcast. I seem to like the more ensemble casts.
