PlayStation.com Now Supports Trophies

European PlayStation Network users have been enjoying this feature for some time, but now us North Americans can compare PlayStation 3 trophies via the official website.  There's a host of new features to the site along with this, my favorite which allows you to compare trophies to multiple friends.

- View detailed info on your trophies on PlayStation.com
- Compare your trophies with multiple friends and other PSN ID’s
- Compare details on trophies within each game
- Track your progress to the next level against friends
- See what trophies you have and what you still need to unlock for each game
- Use the sorting features to plan your game domination

Currently Jason leads our pack of staff members with 222 trophies, with the next closest "competitor" being Mike with 56.  How do you stack up?

53 trophies for now (though I haven't had my PS3 plugged into the internet for a month or so).

Word to the wise, to use the new function to add a gamer card to your forum sig, the PSN ID is case sensitive (which our buddy BigBadBob discovered after some frustration this week).

It is about time. I was getting tired of manually entering trophies through Playfire.

Unfortunately, it seems that they dont update the Portable ID frequently. I assumed that when I synced my trophies from the PS3, it would update the Portable ID. So while the trophy collection is awesome off of the website, I still have to occasionally go to the site to update my Portable ID.

Now we just need that voice chat...

fun to finally have a more automatic way to show them off. yeah, like bob said, you have to hit a button over there to update it.

Its not the quantity but the quality of trophies that matter Anyone has a Platinum trophy? I still don't have one!! They are so difficult to get!

How do you add emoticons to the comments? I added a wink after the end of the sentence "trophies that matter" but it didn't appear!

They are all very hard to get. The ONE that I have happens to be the one I feel is the most obtainable. Its for InFAMOUS.

My suggestion: Play through on medium on the good side, and then play through on hard on the bad side. Work on the stunts the entire time, and work on the trophies where you have to bio leech, heal, and kill bad guys in different ways for a set number of times the whole time.

Ha! I don't even have a Gold trophy yet I wish that PSN games had Platinum trophies, Flower and PixelJunk Monsters are two that I would spend enough time with to get them.

Yeah, I hope to eventually get my first Platinum for Sacred 2. I only have about ten trophies to go, and most of them are easy enough, but just time consuming.

I agree with Blake though that I think InFamous is the easiest one to get a Platinum on. I rented it from Gamefly and got most of the trophies on my first playthrough. A second time around on hard would have netted me the remaining ones no prob. I just didnt feel like playing through a second time right after completing it. I'll probably end up renting it again at some point to get the last of those trophies.

The only game I did get 100% of the trophies on was Gunstar Heroes, but like Roland said, the PSN games dont have Platinum trophies...

I got 100% on Linger in the Shadows, trying to figure out if I was missing something!! After getting all of them I realized I wasn't missing much! Linger in the Shadows was just a waste of money (insert emoticon here)

Yes it was. Thankfully it was only $3.

Would have been cooler if you could affect the outcome of the "movie" some how... Save the dog, control the weird mask thing... maybe interact in more ways.
