Hey Hey! The Monk Joins Diablo III

It's raining blood, hallelujah it's raining blood! Amen!

The latest class for upcoming co-op blockbuster Diablo III has been revealed.  The Monk joins Barbarian, Witch Doctor, and Wizard to take down Diablo's minions.  Gotta love the nice nod to the monk class inclusion in the expansion for the first Diablo, Hellfire.  The monk is pretty good with a bo staff, so you might want one in your co-op gang.  Two more words: reflecting fireballs.  Woot!

A glorious twelve minutes of monk gameplay footage comes your way via 1UP.  I really hope this game still comes out in 2010, don't you?

Is it sad that while watching that video, I thought of Rafiki from The Lion King? What a cool looking class. Can't wait to see what they have in store for people at PAX (it's supposed to be HUGE!)

I just got back from Blizzcon. I tried out the Monk aobut 5 minutes after it was announced on the big stage and it is very fun! it isn't easy to play at first, but once you learn how to use the abilities it can be quite deadly. They're very squishy though, can't take damage. but they make up for that in dps and abilities that are useful to your party (area effect blind is awesome).

Wow, that looks awesome. Chances of this coming next year though are really slim. Blizzard had said they are releasing two games in 2010 - Starcraft 2 and now it looks like WoW Cataclysm.

Fear we will have to wait a long time for this game but do think it will be more then worth it. Diablo 2 is still my most played game to this date and think Diablo 3 will be the only game to beat it.
