I think that in a normal year, the standard version of GH probably ought to beat any special edition of RB in sales, even if it is the Beatles. But with the glut of GH titles available, they might actually take themselves out of it. When you walk into your local Best Buy, you're going to see a big Beatles Rock Band promotion. But GH, there are going to be, what...maybe 8 titles on the shelf? The new ones, plus Metallica, Aerosmith, World Tour discs, and GH3 is probably still in stock. That just seems like a recipe for customer confusion.

I think Nick raised a good point. I do believe that the site should not only score a game for its co-op appeal, but also for its single player appeal. For example, you gave Madden 10 a co-op score of 3 out of 5, and from what you had to say in the podcast and the review, I think thats understandable. However, you also explain how great the single player is, and how they added like 100 new features or tweaks to the game. Im sure that if you were to rate Madden 10 from a single player view, it would get at least a 4.

The focus of the site is most arguably co-op, and as you said in the 'cast, the co-op review score should always be the most prominent. However, in cases where the single player version of a game far surpasses the co-op, I think it is worth a mention. Take Uncharted 2. We know the co-op is not a campaign, but a series of mini-missions and such. Regardless, Im sure that the single player mode will be better than the co-op, but I wouldnt want to see Uncharted 2 get a score of 3 because there was no campaign, and maybe its difficult to join a game (hypothetical examples...we have no idea how it will actually be), when I know the game itself (which people will buy for the single player, not the co-op) will most probably be worthy of at least a 4.

My point is that I like your idea. Continue the big flashy co-op reviews, but maybe add in a little paragraph and rating for the single player content.

Edit:
@ Mike- Just because you asked, I quickly wiki'd your question, and no, she is no longer jail bait.

Bob, check out Marc's GI JOE review. There's a surprise at the bottom.

I like it!

Edit: If this is going to be continued, shouldn't this disclaimer be taken out: "Co-Optimus Reviews ONLY the cooperative experience in a game. Our scores do not take the single player into account."

Also, I think the term "general score" is a bit too...general. I think maybe "overall" score sounds a bit better.

Why does it sound like water is overflowing in a bathtub or sink.
