Borderlands Achievement List Rewards Co-op Players

I swear I saw that achievement list somewhere - maybe this kiosk will help!

Xbox 360 gamers tend to appreciate their achievements - a score reward to share with the world after a hard days work. We personally love when you are rewarded for working together, and Borderlands made sure Co-op gamers reap the achievement score benefits.

Many of Borderlands achievements seem to be neutral co-op or single player, such as the general rewards for defeating a number of enemies in a certain way. However, these co-op specific achievements make playing together that much more enticing.

"Group LF Healer - Rescue a groupmate from death in a co-op game

There's no "I" in "Team" - Complete 15 missions in co-op

And they'll tell two friends - Play in a co-op game with either an employee of Gearbox or someone who has this achievement."

Plus several "secret" achievements listed, who knows if they hide co-op behind their "continue playing to unlock this secret achievement?" We'll certainly be playing to unlock, to find out!

I don't want to know the achievements, but I'm not surprised they reward co-op play. Very nice and makes me want this even more...but not now cause I have no Xbox 360.

If I did get this game somehow today, I would be POed cause it's like having a full course dinner laid out in front of you, but you can't eat it cause you are standing outside watching others eat at a restaurant.

One of the secret achievements could be "No-Life King" -> Get ALL weapon combinations XD

Mrxknown_JG at 08:45 AM on 8.27.2009

Oh god, that would be impossible. I mean we don't even know the limits of the storage in-game..

Well somewhere on MTV Blog or website or dunno where there was a picture showing how many weapon combos are there (at that moment). It was like 3,866,665 or how many
But it could be more, since some time has passed by since then

All of these achievements listed are the same that you'd find openly listed on your xbox 360 if you look under the "achievements" list for this game - the secret ones are the same as the "locked" ones, so I have revealed nothing you couldn't find on your own. You can often read what achievements are in games, and what you have to do to get them, so I do not see this as a spoiler at all.

Also, you had to click on the "read more" to even see the list that I had, which is the equivalent of a spoiler tag (as I told you what to expect by clicking "read more") in any other forum, blog, or news article.

I know, that's why I didn't read them I was merely commenting on the fact of co-op achievements in this game which has had a lot of coverage of it's co-op centered gameplay.

I was not mad or anything

Regardless of how we treat spoilers as a news staff, I can assure you that this post contains none.

Unless, that is, you consider "Borderlands has a 4-player online co-op campaign" a spoiler. Oh, crap! Sorry about that spoiler there.

Okay now I'm upset, I thought this was a 1-player co-op game?

You can have more than one player in a game? Whoah. This could be the next big thing. I've been playing sports by myself up until now.

aeiah at 11:38 PM on 8.27.2009
we dont usually call that kind of filthy behavior a "sport", ong_elvin...

Seems reasonable given that it's a coop focused game. I hate those viral play someone who has this achievment" type ones because they are pontless. There is no skill to them, all it does is force you to play it while it's popular.

I hate multiplayer achievments genrally, but borderlands and L4D can sort of get away with it because they are online games. There are a few VS ones, but nothing you couldn't knock out in 5 minutes with a pal.
