Bonk: Brink of Extinction Brings Co-Op, Head Butts Included

Hudson has announced a remake of the classic Turbo Graphix 16 game Bonk, and they've added a twist, co-op! The game is title Bonk: Brink of Extinction and it's a downloadable game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the Wii; though the WiiWare version of the game will be slightly different from the others.

New features include the ability to transform into into eight different forms, brand new 3d graphics, and drop-in/drop-out cooperative play. The game is set to hit all platforms in the Spring of 2010. This game might add new meaning to a co-op headbutt! Be sure to check out the all new screenshots and teaser trailer.

That's a blast from the past, I just remember playing a Bonk game on either the NES or SNES. I was curious which one that was, but while liking for it, found that there has been one co-op title in the series before, the only Bonk arcade game released

There's only one way that I won't buy this. 1600 MS points, I never got to play a TurboGraphix ( am I glad the "x" didn't catch on like "z" instead of "s" has now, how come marketing people think it's a good idea to make fun of the illeterate by confusing them) back in the day, and this looks like it has a great sense of humor. I remember reading in EGM about the different abilities in maybe Bonk 2? during their review. This was back when page count was the most noticeable text on the front cover.
