Nintendo Wii now $199, New Super Mario Bros Comes November 15th

Nintendo has officially announced that their wildly successful Wii console is now only $199. The $50 price cut comes after a few weeks of rumors, and of course, denial from Nintendo. Included in the press release is also word that the New Super Mario Bros Wii will ship on November 15th.

We previewed the game at PAX this year and enjoyed the four player co-op action. Now your friends that don't own a Wii can enjoy it too, for much cheaper. Don't forget you can snag the system at Amazon and support your favorite co-op site! The price drop goes into effect this Sunday, September 27th.

Im really looking forward to the New SMB game. I know the miss' will love it, so that will be a new game to play with her.

$200 for the Wii is such a great deal. I think its a great system for casual play, and I do think it is a must-have to compliment either the 360 or PS3. When my family or certain friends who dont play games come over, I can usually bust out the Wii and get people playing. It doesnt have the best graphics, and most of the games may not be as complex as a hardcore gamer would like, but its worth it just to get everyone else involved in gaming.

New SMB can totally hold its own against modern warfare 2 and Halo. Yes, I said it. Come on, it's classic Mario platforming at its best, WITH 4 player co-op. Who wouldn't want that? Nintendo is ramping up with promotions too, I've found an online promotion for a free Wii! Check the link and read the instructions to get it!
