Uncharted 2 Commercial is a great Co-Op Couples Idea

While Uncharted 2: Among Thieves might have three different co-op modes, most players are going to pick it up for it's incredibly engaging story and single player. Not only is the game beautiful, it's entertaining and has incredibly high production values.

The latest PlayStation 3 commercial though gives us a good idea for a Co-Op Couples article. You see, Jason Melvin's girlfriend is so enthralled with what's on the screen in Uncharted 2, she actually thinks it's a movie. But Jason, now that you have her on the couch, why not fire up the game's co-op mode and play a little bit together? You can even eat the popcorn while you are waiting to be revived after dying!

Uh, cuz it doesnt support couch co-op? Does it? on the closed beta, it only had online. No split screen. Has that changed?

The game sure does look awesome though..

Yeah, I'm totally disappointed in it not having couch co-op. Really think the wife would have appreciated this one.

I agree with blakepro. It would have made sense if it actually did have couch co-op. Otherwise this add is just misleading. In any event my wife will still enjoy watching me play this. The first one was quite cinematic and actually had a good story.

By the way, does anyone have 2 PS3s set up for network play? I'm thinking about doing that so I can have some in-house warhawk matches with teams of 4, and play stuff like this that doesn't have couch co-op.

Yeah, I used to. It was AWESOME, but way too costly. Maybe if I bought one copy of games for me and then just used gamefly or something, it wouldn't have been so expensive, but I ended up just selling my 2nd PS3. But yeah, it really was super fun, especially for Nazi Zombies on WaW =>

Ah--yeah, that is a consideration. You'd have to buy two copies of games. Of course, for DLC it wouldn't be quite as bad.

Yes, I think my wife would have also appreciated split-screen in this one. This game has much wider appeal than 'manly' co-op shooters like Army of 2.

She has been watching me play the beta... so I have hope this ad may come true in our house; or even better, that she may even play the game by herself (like what happened with Portal).
