Holy moly!  When it rains it pours!  And it's raining co-op games!  We've got three solid co-op titles hitting this week, all bringing their own unique flair to the table, and representing just about every platform out there.

Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising is hitting the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC with its four player online co-op mode.  We've been following this realistic tactical shooter for some time now, and have high hopes for it.

Next up is Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PS2, PC, PSP, and Nintendo DS.  Featuring online play on the next gen consoles, and two player local co-op on most other platforms, gamers will take the role of either a Jedi or a Clone trooper set in the Clone Wars universe of the animated series by the same name.

Finally Demon's Souls from Atlus is a hardcore RPG for the PlayStation 3 which features it's own unique blend of co-op in which players must cooperate with other players to get their body back once they die.

I am looking forward to OP Flashpoint, but I'm waffling. I don't know if I like the idea that human co-op players cannot be in different fire teams and/or cannot be more than 275m from one another. ArmaII doesn't excite me as I'm not after a 'simulation' as much as I am a more relaxed realism game. I'm thinking I'll wait for the demo on PC and see if it's worth it. Might mean pulling out the original for another run through!

Not like there aren't a bunch of other co-op titles to play...

Also, I don't like that you cannot choose your weapon loadout. But at least they are given to you based on the mission type (stealth vs. assault).

When can we expect a review of these games? I need a timetable

Operation Flashpoint is on the schedule for next week. The others I have no idea.

JG, why exactly do you "need a timetable"? Did you start writing paychecks for our staff or something? I actually plan on picking up Star Wars for the PSP. Maybe I can convince my brother to get it, too, since he just bought a UMD-capable PSP as well.

SwissyJim I think the game is setup in a way that you are kind of screwing yourselves over if you go separate ways... still though, it's too bad the tether is so short.

Mrxknown_JG I actually read in a review you CAN pick your weapon load out once you find a weapon station. I sure hope I didn't read lies.

Out of these games, I'm only interested in Dragon Rising. I would be interested in Demon's Souls if I had a PS3.

Played the demo for Star Wars and thought it was the WORST demo I have ever played....If offered a free copy I would decline or donate it to some poor sap that has not played a game since NES because only will he appreciate a game of this nature.
