Pre-Purchase Painkiller Resurrection, Get Painkiller Overdose and Black Free

Steam's preorder deals are becoming legendary in their value and bonuses, and the latest one for the four player co-op Painkiller Resurrection.  It's been a long time since we've even heard anything about the title, but the game is now only two weeks away.

The package comes with Painkiller Black Edition and Painkiller Overdose, the game's prequels.  While neither offered co-op, it's a decent value with the current $26.99 preorder price for all three games.  Painkiller has always been about bizarre and fun weapons - like the stake gun.  There was nothing better in the original than staking guys to the wall and watching them dangle like baby dolls on a clothesline.

Unfortunately for this game, I fear it'll be lost in the fall rush of the dozens and dozens of solid co-op titles coming out.  Painkiller has always been a bit of a mindless shooter in the same vein has the Doom and Serious Sam titles.  That doesn't make it any less fun, just not something as compelling to play immediately.

Of course if you don't need the two prequels, you can purchase the game on its own from Amazon for $19.99.

This will use the same engine, and they'll make it so that it will work co-operatively.
So modder-kids... the goal is set Import all weapons and stuff from other PAiNKiLLER games so that they'll work here in Co-op

I've never played any of the Painkiller series, but I've heard really good things about it. Seems like a cheap way to jump into the series.

I was thinking the same thing... anything that is mindless killing AND co-op can't be all bad, right?
