Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC Coming November 5

Marc "DjinniMan" Allie October 29th, 2009 at 11:08 PM

We finally know the details about the first DLC pack for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.  Most of us will be able to purchase the pack on November 5, though European PS3 users have to wait until November 12.  The DLC will set you back $10, or the MS Point equivalent.  So what do you get for the money?

Carnage, Psylocke, Cable, and the Black Panther will become available as playable characters.  There will also be another character included, likely Magneto, as we reported earlier.  No official confirmation for the Master of Magnetism yet, though.

New boosts and simulator missions are included in the pack as well.  More good news: those of us who didn't purchase the game at Gamestop (or abuse the system) will be able to download Juggernaut for $2 on the same day.

$12 for 6 new characters and a few trifles seems a bit high.  Consider the DLC pack for the first MUA title, which had 8 characters for $10.  I guess it's just another way in which the sequel fails to live up to the original.  Oh, who am I kidding?  I'd probably pay that much for Black Panther alone.  Sometimes being a comic book nerd really sucks.

This gets a great big thumbs up from me. But, here's the big question For those that pre-ordered the game and got The Juggernaut, will they have a slightly discounted Juggernaut-free pack for those that already have him? I guess time will tell...

I'm thinking this wasn't very well planned from the start, but certainly appreciated by everyone who couldn't afford pre-ordering every game they wanted this season...I'd have to sell someones house to afford that many new games this year!

Im more than willing to throw down $10 for some new characters. Heres hoping that Magneto is one of them!

Really cool that they are on the ball with this, I just hope in the future they release a DLC campaign or something... I enjoyed the civil war arc but it felt like it was over too quick.

I'm pretty sure Juggernaut is separate.

Sorry for the confusion. Juggernaut is a separate download for $2, not included in the $10 five-pack.

Ohhh - well then, I'm down for this 100% fo sho. Now they need a second DLC pack, a bundle, and a price drop worthy of a game that fell short of its predecessor.

Argh. I was hoping there was something where you can buy the characters individually. All I really want is Carnage, but I don't know if I can throw down $10 for just him. None of the other characters interest me. At all. . .

The only character who doesnt interest me in that pack is Black Panther. The other four are all pretty good choices to me, especially Carnage, Magneto, and Cable.
