'Splosion Man swept us off our co-op loving feet this summer. Now, Twisted Pixel, the studio behind 'Splosion Man, has teamed up with Omaha Steaks to bring you a very - er - interesting sweepstakes. Play 'Splosion Man, win Filet Mignon. Seriously.

First, check your Xbox Live account information to make sure it's up to date and accurate. Next, register for the sweepstakes by downloading the 'Splosion Man sweepstakes gamer picture between October 22nd and November 22nd for free. Finally, play 'Splosion Man co-op (one entry per multiplayer log-in, up to 5 entries per person) to win!

You should check the rules and eligibility to make sure you qualify before drooling too much. If you do meet all necessary criteria, you could win one of these prizes just for playing co-op:

1 Grand prize of:

* (10) Exclusive Omaha Steaks Filet Mignon Packages (each package includes 2 – 5 oz. filets)
* Omaha Steaks Reward Gift Card ($20.00)
* Sanyo Smokeless Indoor Electric Grill

90 First Prizes:

* Exclusive Omaha Steaks Filet Mignon Package (includes 2 – 5 oz. filets)
* Omaha Steaks Reward Gift Card ($20.00)

700 Second Prizes:

* Omaha Steaks Reward Gift Card ($20.00)

We weren't lying when you said you'd win steak. Vegetarians beware. Everyone else, go register and co-op immediately.

This is just lazy. No donut prize packs?

I can't decide how I feel about the cannibalistic overtones (mmm, that's good gibbed scientist!). Part of me thinks that makes it even better.

This is a pretty cool promotion, but I just have to voice my frustration with the company and its "aggressive" salesmen. I ordered some steaks for my parents for Christmas, and ever since then I have received calls from them nearly every day, despite me telling them I do not want to be called.
When they first started calling, I ignored it since I didnt know the number. But after a week or so I was curious as to who kept calling me daily but never left a message. Below is a pretty accurate account of the conversation of my first conversation.

"Hello?"

"Hey Rob?"

"Yeah..."

"Hey man, whats going on?! How are ya?"

"Ok..."

"You know who this is, right?"

"No..."

"Its your buddy Warren!"

"Warren?"

"Yeah, Warren, from Omaha Steaks!"

"Oh. Ok."

"Do you like filet minion?"

"No."

"Oh come on, you're lying! Everyone likes filet minion! And I have got a really sweet deal right now!"

And thats when I hung up. The calls have continued on an almost daily basis, and despite the two or three times I told them to shove it they continue to call. At first it was funny, but not its just plain annoying.

Sorry for the random Omaha Steaks rant...

dude! you shouldn't ignore your BFF warren like that! that's so mean!

you should call them back and complain, maybe you'll get some free steaks. honestly, most companies that employ tactics like that will bend over backwards if they think you might buy in the future. just make sure you make your demands clear and get off their daily nag list.

BigBadBob, their in person tactics are just as bad or worse. I had to call the cops the last time one stopped by my house. I had told him to get off my property multiple times and he kept trying to make his sales pitch.

Ah the joys of sales ppl. I tend to put them on hold and check back 15 minutes later if they are still there on hold for another 15. We have also had a sales person call one time while we were cleaning our paintball markers so we gassed up one of the markers and staged a break in with shots fired and the phone going dead.

Tried to jump on last night but there weren't any games

I got this game when it came out but haven't been able to convince any of my friends to get it as well. Anyone interested in going through the levels co-op? Hit me up at Party Opponent

Thanks!

Pfttt Filet Mignon is over rated, Ribeye or NY Strip is where it is at .

BigBadBob113 at 09:36 AM on 11.3.2009

I agree with the ribeye!

Hopefully folks had fun. Got quite a few matches in, but I'm signing off for the night.
Arcade, Gears, Halo, Rainbow 6 vegas 2. Sounds good to me. Though Virtuoso and I have some IP issues. my tags are below.

You would think they would patch the USB port stuff.. Its just silly to have to unplug stuff that you usually just leave plugged
Yeah but I think it would still be cool!
Thanks for clearing that up! I probably won't buy it though.
