Unreal Development Kit Gives You The Power

A lot of people who play games have some inner desire to also create games to share with the world. Epic Games wants to help you reach your goal by unleashing the Unreal Development Kit (UDK) for individuals and new companies to use. UDK will give new game creators access to the Unreal 3 engine for free, as well as all the other amenities you may need to get your creative juices flowing. Anyone can start building games on their PC by Downloading the UDK, gaining access to ongoing Unreal Engine 3 support and all the tools necessary to start building your games.
UDK can be used for more than just video games. The Unreal Engine 3 has been used in games, animated films, architectural walkthroughs - anything you might use a 3D imaging program for, UDK can do. By downloading the Unreal Development Kit, you're given free access to revolutionary computer programming software. The kit includes:
* Unreal Content Browser, a revolutionary tool for browsing, searching and organizing game assets with collaborative metadata tagging system.
* UnrealScript object-oriented programming language and Unreal Kismet, a visual scripting system that enables rapid prototyping on the fly.
* Unreal Matinee, a powerful tool with movie director-class controls for building in-game cinematics and gorgeous cut scenes.
* Unreal Cascade, an advanced particle physics and environmental effects editor that aids the creation of fire, fog, explosions and other visuals.
* NVIDIA® PhysX®-powered physics system with Unreal PhAT visual modeling tool for creating character and object physics rigs.
* Unreal Lightmass, a global illumination system that dramatically lights and shadows with minimal effort required by artists and designers.
* AnimSet Viewer and AnimTree Editor, which give animators precise control over every muscle and bone movement.
Now, Co-op gamers, we know we're not always satisfied with what some developers classify as "co-op" in their own games. UDK gives you the opportunity to show them what's what by building your own co-op games for friends, family, and Co-optimus to share. Go pro.

Just wait for the cloning patch - it'll happen.
same here. my clone and your clone can work together...
One is like Fort Zombie Dead Rising all those zombie goodness IN CO-OP (who thought about that? ), and it would be free-roam, or survival type...etc.
The other one is like Resident Evil OutBreak, because I already said a million times that I'm angry because they close down the servers. I would make a remake and make it more badass and stuff (it's a Co-op game, so...)
The third game would be a survival game too, but you are stranded on an island and need to survive. This could be played in Co-op too.
The fourth game... well I'm not talking about it, because I've made the WHOLE game up years ago. Now I just need to make it (dunno if it will be in Co-op, but yeah...)
So my ability to focus on any kind of project would be limited to only those required for my Academic progress.
But it's very, VERY tempting. If only....
that sounds rather competitive... i'm scared /hides
i'd love to do something like this but i don't think i'll be able to find the time.
...
8 GB System RAM"
What? I don't even know if my laptop can support 8 GB of RAM
It has 4GB of RAM, heck I don't even recall seeing any systems for sale with 8GB of RAM. That's a whole lot.
My plan is to make a 2D action game in XNA, but if you really need a coder or animator give me a bell.
Lastly, a tip for all those out there who are now going to make "the bestest and epic game evar!!!!11!" and you haven't made any game before, start small.
My current experience is thus
-Made a few crap maps for Half Life 2
-Messed with stats in Smod
-Horribly failed at modeling and rigging
...so yeah.
