Infinity Ward may Add Party Chat Options Back into Modern Warfare 2

"The lack of party chat was done in part to prevent cheaters in different multiplayer game types. Basically these punks would jump onto the opposing team calling out their teammates positions to their friends on the other team in party chat. For most of us, we're unaffected by this decision because we're too busy playing Spec-Ops in co-op!"

Wow, removing the party chat for this reasons... It seems this kind of kiddie attitude is so rampant here, to the extent of removing the party chat.

Not only does not having party prevent "lan cheating" the good ol' classic "hey person A, person B is coming up behind you." well for those that havnt noticed in TDM you can still talk to your alive players.
Also, NOT having the party chat forces the people that do have mics to work together. Say Clan A has 4 people, instead of having them in a private chat to do thier thing, the ingame chat makes them work with the "pubbers" that are in the server.
So, in my eyes, Party Chat will kill the little bit of team work that they tried to actually have.

Too bad there's no admin in console MP servers. In PC when you do bad stuff you'll get warnings and eventually if you continue you'll get ban. There is still law and authorities even in online.

Me and my friends just mute everyone we don't know. Way to fail infinity ward.

What, IW listening to gamers?. Shocking!

Now, if they could fix the bigass turd they released for PC, perhaps I would even contemplate buying it when it hits the bargain bin.

Seriously? What the heck?

I never talk when I play online on COD. No one really says anything worth listening to, or no one talks whatsoever.

Although I hate the lack of party chat I've gotten over it since I understand why its not in anymore. Theres also search and destroy where its a major factor if the enemy has someone who is dead still in their ear talking. It has also helped me in other game types cause I actually rely on my teammates vs being a one man team. Yea sometimes my teammates still fail to help me, or have a positive kill/death ratio, but I would say overall it helps.

Well, you kicked up a stink and now you are getting what you want. Also people modded in dedicated servers.
