The game has been talked about for sometime, but really, we haven't heard anything concrete on the upcoming Ninety-Nine Nights II from Konami. The official website has been updated with a release window, telling Japan they can experience all the hack and slash their heart desires this spring.
The original game was a bit like Dynasty Warriors, though it did a few things to separate itself. Notably absent though was any form of co-op. Reports on the new game indicate a much darker experience, one that can be shared with a friend online in 2 player co-op.
The game is currently only planned for the Xbox 360, but we have no release date for the rest of the world. If I had to be a betting man, I'd put money on a fall release on this one. Of course, there's always the option to import it.
