Rockstar Banning Gamertags/PSN IDs From Red Dead Redemption; Are You Prepared?

Rockstar is letting us know that there is very little redemption in Red Dead Redemption as far as cheating is concerned. Tomorrow (Aug. 24th), the developer will be banning any and all Xbox 360 gamertags and Playstation Network IDs found with hacked game saves.

Rockstar allows some wiggle-room for people who partook in some experience-gain exploits, stating that these players will not be banned, but warns that they will be able to tell who hacked their game saves to get impossibly high scores.

The one and only chance of redemption you have if you do happen to have some less-than-legit game saves is to delete any single- or multiplayer hacked game saves you have. Everything will be wiped upon deletion, except trophies/achievements, preorder bonuses, and other small things such as that. After deleting your save game, you will need to go online before tomorrow and register.

Yup, the day of judgment is nigh as far as Rockstar is concerned - so prepare accordingly.
