One of the highlight co-op games this generation was a budget Xbox 360 title called Earth Defense Force 2017. It looked and felt like a B movie of the 1950's with giant ants and bugs, huge flying saucers, and big robots that unleashed destruction on the cities of the world. It was a two player local co-op game with plenty of laugh out loud moments - and it was also a ton of fun.
Now it appears a sequel is in the works as we just got a tip that a website went live for a game called Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. Sadly, the only thing at the site is the logo. With the Tokyo Game Show right around the corner we can only hope the bugs begin their attack again on Japanese shores.
