Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2: More Characters, More Metal, More Mustache

Nathan "Rad" Spencer will be getting some help for his upcoming mission.  Capcom has just released some details on the supporting cast of Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2.  In the first Bionic Commando: Rearmed, two players could play co-operatively through local shared screen play.  One controlled a green Nathan Spencer and the other controlled a red clone. (How evil the clone was is debatable since he was, in fact, blonde.)  They were both equally 'rad,'  and it didn't adversely affect the story at all.  Do you hear that, Treyarch?

It seems that Nathan won't be going it alone or with a clone in the sequel.   A new bionic crew is here to lend a helping hand.  Get it?  It's funny, because they have bionic arms!

Except for her.

When I first saw this picture I said to myself "That's what I'm talking about!  I like a girl with a little meat on her bones!"  And then came the crushing discomfort:

Lieutenant Jayne "Mag" Magdalene lost her legs in the line of duty and was fitted with leg augmentations.as a second-generation bionic During her training, she has been mentored by Captain Nathan Spencer and the two of them have already carried out numerous missions together.

Congratulation Lieutenant Jayne "Mag" Magdalene.  You made me feel creepy.  On to our next team member.  Private Sean-  What the hell is that on his arm?!

Nice monster claw.  That won't get people staring.  Is that a Predator self-destruct bomb on his other arm?

Private Sean McNamara is the least experienced TASC Force member committed to the operations on Papagaya. Having lost his arm in a training accident, he received a second generation bionic replacement after showing impressive test results.

That brings us to Corporal Jin Hauser, who apparently hasn't had a horrific accident or injury.  She's here by choice.

Corporal Hauser is a confident and capable addition to the TASC Force. Fitted with a bionic arm, she has an excellent track record, often working closely together with Sergeant Wilcox.

It looks like they are going to be playable characters.  Either that or Capcom really just has a thing for removing non-player characters' limbs and replacing them with kick-ass bionics.  Hopefully these new characters will make up for the fact that there is now a 'jump' ability.  Whether or not this will increase the amount of co-op players or if it is any indication of online support remains to be determined.  Bionic Commando Rearmed: 2 is currently slated for a Q1 2011 release.
