Mercenaries 2 has been covered many here at Co-Optimus. Having played a bit of the game, it seems like a decent mercenary simulator. Well, for those of you clamoring for an update for Mercs 2, your prayers are being answered. According to Shacknews, an update for the game will be coming out on October 13th for the 360 and PS3 versions of the game. The update will add cheat codes to the game (essential for a game like Mercenaries 2) and several new playable characters.
On the co-op front, the update is supposed to loosen restrictions for playing with buddies from other regions. So, sounds like everyone's getting a bit of what they want.

Looking forward to it, but I'm an admitted Mercs Fanboy.
The real icing would be if they removed the "tether" from co-op players!

Could be neat, but will I still have the game then? I beat it last night (in co-op of course!), so now I'm thinking I'll try to scrape up a missing achievement or two before kicking this one back to GameFly as I prepare to devote myself completely to Fable 2.
The game's been buggy as all get out, so here's hoping they fix a ton of bugs with this release!
