Giant Resistance 2 Ad Scares Small Children, Office Workers

With 8 player co-op title Resistance 2 a short few weeks away, the marketing campaign has kicked up in a BIG way. The above picture is for a building size ad for the game featured in download Los Angeles. Luckily no office workers were harmed in the making of said ad, though a few screamed in fear before having their morning coffee.
Gotta say, that's one of the more innovative ads I've seen. That giant Leviathan is actually a boss in the game players must take down; though it's not known whether or not he makes an appearance in co-op play.

While not a co-op game, Fallout 3 has hit some public advertising here in DC in a big way. A major metro stop has ads all over the place (which is surprising since they depict a ruined Washington DC and people can be kind of paranoid), and the columns that list out the metro stops have a Pip Boy on them. If I remember or get a chance to, I'll snap some pics and post them up somewhere.
Just makes me happy, as a gamer, to see this kind of advertising going on publicly instead of in the shadowy folds of a magazine
It's neat to see "our" industry growing to the point that ads are now more public rather than just being in Gamepro or something like that. I wonder when videogame advertising will start to eclipse those for movies, television and music. I don't think we're too far from that especially considering OrigamiPanther's comments re the Fallout 3 ads in DC.
