Now With Twice As Many Shivs

If you’re not familiar with the original, Shank 2 is a 2-D character action game that relies on guns, blood, and revenge to get the message across. It comes out at a time where there is a lack of stylistic action games, but is both a blessing and a curse, as it suffers from going too heavy on the style and not providing you with enough of a game.

alot of people liked the first one, but me and my brother played it not too long ago in a humble bundle, and hated it. The controls felt off, and the bosses were such a pain in the butt it sucked the fun out of it. Sounds to have the same problems this time around too.

@Shardik

The controls have been finely tuned and make a world of difference. The boss fights, although humorous, still do not mesh well with the flow of the game. They are not game breaking, but simply feel out of place.

Nice review, Locke. I'd like to pick up both Shank games if they ever go on sale cheap enough, but the boss fights make me hesitant to pay full price.

Nuts. I felt like Shank was three-quarters of the way towards nirvanic awesomeness and just fell short because of rote and frustrating boss fights, especially in its co-op mode, which was a cakewalk until that nightmare pair of bosses who ram you.

Sad to hear Shank 2 might not be much of an improvement at all.
