Our Weekend in Gaming - Free to Co-Op Edition
There was an overwhelming theme at PAX East this year, and that was Free to Play games. It seems that's carried over to our staff as many are partaking in the numerous riches that F2P has to offer. None the less there's plenty of other games that we paid actual money for - plus - this weekend in our co-op night featuring Shoot Many Robots!
Nick "bapenguin" Puleo (@NickPuleo) - "It's a coding weekend for me (I know, what's different?) working on Blue Shield Alliance as well as a play testing party for the game."
Mike "Pheriannath" Katsufrakis (@Pherinnath) - "It's a free-to-play weekend for me, as I'll be playing more Tribes: Ascend and Super Monday Night Combat."
Marc "DjinniMan" Allie (@DjinniMan) - "I will be playing some South Park Tenorman's Revenge for review, and have a Magic the Gathering night tomorrow, full of Commander card slinging!"
Andrew "Cubninja" Gaskill (@Cubninja) - "This weekend I want to play: The Witcher 2 to see if it's as good as "they" say, Demon's Souls before the servers die, Dark Souls because I can't stop, House of the Dead 4 for a co-op review, Armored Core V because it's sexy awesome, the Diablo 3 beta if it won't melt my machine, the Ghost Recon Future Soldier beta if I can remember how to access it, Diabolical Pitch because I'm a glutton for punishment, Fez because I'm not going to let a puzzle game break my will, and Shoot Many Robots for co-op night because I'm level 50 and I love shootin' 'bots. Or I may not play a damn thing because I might be stuck in Dad mode. Either way, it should be a fine weekend." - Editor's Note - TLDR;.
Jason "OrigamiPanther" Love (@JLove55) - "It's finally time to get my PC upgraded. Once that's complete, I'll be putting it through its paces and trying out a few different games, like the Diablo 3 beta and whatever else tickles my fancy."
Paul "EastX" Acevedo (@SegaCon) - "It's time to start on The Witcher 2 at last. Loved the first game but didn't get around to playing the sequel on PC for some reason, so Xbox 360 it is."
Eric "smurphster" Murphy (@smurph_em)- "I'll be playing Shoot Many Robots for our co-op night on Sunday. Otherwise, I'll just see what game invites hit my inbox."
Sam "Samoza" Tyler (@reelsamtyler) - "I picked up the Darkness II so will bask in the ultra horror of it all whilst my partner is out of the room!"
Locke Vincent (@LockeVincent) - "I'll be searching for the last couple cubes in Fez, and then hopping over to Outland for some Co-Op action. If necessary, I will also require another dose of Demon Souls with Cubninja and anyone else that wants to join the 3 amigos crew before the servers go down. "
Tally "xelissa" Callahan - "Playing the TERA open beta this weekend with some tabletop Legends of Drizzt on the side."
Chris "The Lemko" Metz (@The_Lemko) - "I'm going to continue to work through World Gone Sour for my first Co-Optimus review next week. Other than that, probably still continue through Snake Eater or play some L4D2."
