Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Adds New Polishing to 1.7.3 Update, L4D Skins Coming Soon

It was only a few short weeks ago the Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition gained its highly sought after 1.7.3 patch, giving us loads of new trinkets to play with, such as autosave options, piston mechanics, and shears. Unfortunately, this included a whole slew of new bugs to address. Luckily, Mojang and Microsoft have released a new patch to correct these minor problems and get Minecraft back on track.

This new patch doesn’t add any new content to Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, but takes care of annoying issues which take away from the overall pleasant experience. Here is a list of all the changes Mojang and Microsoft have made to the game:

-Fix for a crash with pistons at the edge of the world

-Fix for a crash due to a thread safety issue usually caused by pistons

-Fix for issue with operating pistons on chunk boundaries

-Fix for a rendering flicker with active pistons

-Fix for rendering slowdown due to lighting issues

-Fix for rain going through blocks (raining indoors)

-Fix for Marketplace not launching when unlocking skin pack after selecting a locked skin in the trial version of the skin pack

-Fix for bug allowing locked skins to be selected if they are beside a free skin

-Fix for misaligned player scores when viewed under the "My Score" leaderboard filter

-Fix for the constant button press sounds when rotating a character in the skin select screen

-Fix for the constant sound effect played on the sign text entry

-Fix for thunder not being audible

-Fix for third person front view not displaying fire

For only 1600 points, you can enjoy these new fixes in an amazing XBLA title that so many people have come to love (around 3 million to be exact). With all the new downloadable skins to get addicted to, and the new Left 4 Dead skins (including all 8 Survivors) soon to be available this August, now is the perfect time to get into this Game-of-the-Year worthy title. Grab your co-op buddies and purchase Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition today.
