They asked for it. Now they have it. The Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition is now available on PC. The dark fantasy game known for its punishing difficulty is now available to the mouse and keyboard crew. The Prepare to Die edition will also feature around 10 hours of extra content which will cover the "Artorias of the Abyss" story line. Console fans may be tempted to double dip on their purchases. For those poor souls whose PC can't handle the load, never fear. The extra content will be coming to consoles in the form of DLC later this year.
This new trailer features a boss battle. The player seems to be doing very well, right up until the end. Then the game just goes Dark Souls all over his ass. That's what happens.
The Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition will also feature a matchmaking system for 1v1, 2v2, and 1v3 versus battles. Co-op will most likely continue to use the summon system, which actually works quite well following the patch which increased connectivity.
The Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition supports three player online co-op. Be sure to read our Co-Op Review if you really want to know what you're getting into.
