Effective horror game.

I am tired of people whining that a horror game will not be good if co-op.  Its true that people say when your alone its more frightening so this is what you do.  Co-op horror games need deep dialog and scary surroundings to function and as long as your with a friend you get a human trait so you have to keep splitting them up.  Every game that does this seems to do it for minutes that's not scary!  You need to completely lose visibility of your partner and be alone for a good deal of time.  Finally the game should make you feel like your about to get connection back with your friend and then suddenly lose it again.  My favorite horror game was Resident Evil: Outbreak.  Sure it might of been co-op, but you never knew where anyone was and you were pretty much on your own in less you stalked another player around like a dog.  Also the communication of that game made it feel more realistic.  Moving the right analog stick would make your selected character say a voice option like: Follow me, get over here, (Character Name) like Jim, or take that.  I feel that this made the game better though for instance.  You could only hear someone if you were in the same room or if you were close to a door from the next room making you still feel seperated from other people.  So you ended up getting the frightening single player experience and brief relief of other people.  There is one more ideal object that makes a game scary that not a lot of games accomplish anymore.  I thought Dead Island was finally shaping up to be a good co-op scary game until I reached the decision of this.  THERE ARE TOO MANY WEAPONS!  If you always are able to kill everything that not scary!  I believe you need that RUN!!!! Effect in order to make some games fun and that is something that no co-op horror game has accomplished.  What happened to running into Pyramid Man in Silent hill or Nemesis in Resident Evil.
