It's been a few weeks now since Halo 3: ODST's release. Perhaps you see your friends still enjoying the game's Firefight mode and whimper in jealous. You get the constant invites of a group needing a fourth soldier for a legendary run through the campaign and curse your empty wallet. Sadly you've yet to pick the game up, we know, we all have our reasons for avoiding it - but now there's no excuse.

We're giving away one copy of Halo 3:ODST including the exclusive Sgt Johnson Firefight character to one lucky winner!

Favorite weapon would be the plasma pistol and carbine combo I used to make quick work of Brutes in Halo 3.

the pistol from halo 1 has always been my favorite, but ODST's pistol may have surpassed it. not sure yet. also, the plasma pistol is an absolute necessity in ODST so that's up there too.

Favourite weapon for me was definitely the assault rifle from HaloCE! Sixty rounds of covenant-piercing goodness, loud as hell, decent stun effect, therefore easy follow-up with grandes or melee, no other weapon was so much fun.

The Warthog MG turret, I am a much better gunner than driver. I don't think it has changed much over the halo timeline.

Oh man! I'm constantly getting invites to join in ODST and I always have to turn them down. Just check my gamertag, I have never played ODST yet...

I think I am also partial to the Needler in Halo 1.

Let's be fair. The Energy Sword in Halo 3 is the best. Nothing is more fun than humming Secret Agent Man while sneaking up behind people and ripping their back into little energy-charged shreds. It's probably the most satisfying kill out there.

oooh good call. i almost forgot how fantastic the shotgun was in halo 1. it had an absurd range and bigger clip, love it! i loved to run around with the shotgun and pistol and wreak havoc.

I vote for the Brute chopper. It's like Mad Max and the Dukes of Hazzard all in one stabby-bumpered package. With guns. I don't care how badly it steers. My honorable mention goes to the Ghost, 'cuz it's a flying purple alien motorcycle. With guns.

Shotgun will always be my favorite in any Halo game. I love fighting close I love the damage ratio. And if I don't one hit kill there's always a melee.
