Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder
Golden Axe is one of the defining co-op games in history, and was followed by a host of sequels on many different systems. Fours years after its release, the first 32-bit sequel, The Revenge of Death Adder, hit arcades. In addition to a major graphical overhaul, the game included four new characters: a giant (with dwarf Gillius Thunderhead from the original riding on his shoulders), a barbarian, a small elf, and even a female centaur! The game included branching levels and many sub-boss fights as the heroes fought their way to Death Adder's castle.
