When Betheseda and id announced they were remaking the beautiful-but-flawed Doom 3 for modern consoles and PCs, we reacted with a mix of excitement and trepidation. The big question for us: will it have co-op multiplayer? Thankfully, Co-Optimus has confirmed with the publisher that Doom 3: BFG Edition will indeed have some form of co-op. That's not much to go on, but every little bit helps!

Sweet! If it's split screen co-op through the whole campaign, I'll be looking into getting a copy.

Played the Doom 3 demo but it never made me feel like going through the whole game. My rig wasn't able to run it all that well at the time either.

It really would have been pointless without the co-op. I do hope it's the same co-op campaign as the one featured on the original Xbox.

Though if they added a survival co-op mode as well that certainly wouldn't go amiss. It would be nice to have a mode for more than 2 players anyway.

I'm also curious if this will include the Resurrection of Evil expansion. That game was much better paced.

I will be getting this for sure if its split screen coop. Not much of that is out as it is! And it being Doom of course

THIS is how you do an HD remake. Adding new content to an already awesome game makes it worth the price.

The Resurrection of Evil expansion is definitely included, guys.
