Discussion of Borderlands 2 Special Edition Heads and Skins Revealed

Postby Cubninja » Fri Aug 10, 2012 12:50 pm

We all know Borderlands 2 will feature an exorbitant amount of loot. On top of all the guns, grenades, shields, and class mods, players will also be able to pick up new skins and heads for further character customization. Who doesn't love interchangeable heads? We've already showed you the heads and skins which will be unlocked if you have original Borderlands save data on your system of choice.Today, we have some new body parts for you to admire.

This new collection will be packaged (digitally, of course) with the two special editions of Borderlands 2. The Deluxe Vault Hunters Collector's Edition and the Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition will both feature Axton's Hoth head, Maya's shaved dome, Salvador's badass fedora/shades combo, and whatever the hell is going on with Zer0.

If I get the normal edition of the game preordered (so Premium edition), will I get these?

@TheReaperCooL
I believe these heads and skins are only available with the Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collectors Edition and the Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition. Sorry.

The Premiere Edition is for all pre-orders. It will get you a Golden Key, the Vault Hunter's Relic, the Gearbox Gunpack, and access to the Mecromancer when she's released at a later date.

I've got the same question as ReaperCooL. I've been under the impression that the Premium edition came will special heads and outfits as well.

There's another set of special heads and outfits you get for having a Borderlands 1 save file on your HDD. Those were shown off a little while ago so maybe that's where the confusion comes from.

@steampunk Jin and kersplat12785

Yes, there is a DIFFERENT SET of special heads and skins which will be unlocked if you have original Borderlands save data on your system of choice.

A link to that article is in the first paragraph, where I put the link in the sentence that says, "We've already shown you the heads and skins which will be unlocked if you have original Borderlands save data on your system of choice."

Here's the link. Again.

I wonder if all this stuff will make it into the GOTY ed. As much as I love Borderlands, my bro and I aren't co-oping as much these days and we still have the first game's DLC to finish. I'm thinking of waiting that extra year before getting Borderlands 2 so I get all the DLC in one package.

I'm totally getting the loot chest edition. I've been waiting forever for this, and once I get it, I'm sure that's all my friend and I are going to play for a long time.

These new skins and content just add to the fun, Gearbox really knows what players want.
