We've been following the development of LittleBigPlanet for what seems like a very long time here at Co-Optimus.  The unique side scrolling platformer just keeps getting pushed back.  However, the wait might not be much longer.  A post in the official Playstation forums informs us of the following, and not much else:

There will be a limited public beta test for LittleBigPlanet in September. If it will be possible to "sign up" for this test, full information on how to do so will be made public in advance of the test. Similarly if the test is going to be conducted in an invitation-only we will let you know ahead of time.

Here's to hoping that they mean September of this year.  We look forward to playing something on our PS3 besides Blu-rays and upscaled DVDs. 

my MOST anticipated game since I heard about it and researched it about 3 months ago. I simply can't wait, I just need confirmation of local coop and online coop before this game is a solid purchase for myself.

Shazoo I read it somewhere (and I think I can confirm it that way ) that this game has 4 player Online and 2 player Local Coop. And I guess you can do it so you are playing 2 player Local Coop and 2 other players coming in via Online. So you must buy this game (especially if I'll get a PS3 and you want to play with me )

if it has local 2 player coop, I'm all there, pre order and all. Got any links?
