Look out Zombies! New Resident Evil 5 Co-Op Screens

The zombies in Resident Evil games always had the upper hand, they only had to worry about one person trying to explode their head with a shotgun. The tide has turned in Resident Evil 5 as we've got two gunslingers in action at once. Of course, that's twice the brains for zombies to eat!
The 2 player co-op title which features a seamless drop in/drop-out experience is set to hit early next year on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; and the game is designed from the ground up for cooperative play. I seem to be saying that a lot lately.
Capcom has released almost two dozen screenshots showing off the co-op action and hud. Hit the Read More link for the full gallery.

Re: Look out Zombies! New Resident Evil 5 Co-Op Screens
This looks like a pretty fun rental. I wonder if gamefly will have LEFTover copies FOR me to rent. But if it's comes out on Jan 1st, I might still feel DEAD from the night before to do any gaming. Now if i could just remember that other zombie game that comes out befour hand...if that game has some incentive to keep playing, it might keep me from RE5 all together. Edit: sorry, cleaned up the code Just tried to make a funny, I'm actually eagerly awaiting RE5, but I feel it'll be overshadowed by L4D.

Shazoo, that code looks awful in the comment section below the article. But it probably works in the thread.

RE:Look out Zombies! New Resident Evil 5 Co-Op Screens
I admit to being a total RE fanboy as it's one of the few properties I get warm, fuzzy feelings about when a new game is coming out...which probably indicates something deeply wrong with my psyche.
That said, I hope coop adds to the horror aspect rather than taking away from it. I can see having two people playing making some areas seem less frightening (removing the whole alone in the dark vibe). But, if it makes up for it by forcing you to worry about the safety of another player, then it taps into a whole different vein of scary, which is a good thing.
