The Star Trek movie is doing amazing at the box office, and rightfully so.  Now the tie-in title hits the Xbox Live Arcade today with a six player co-op mode.

Star Trek D-A-C is a top down shooter in which players control one of three ship types in epic space combat.  It doesn't look particularly deep, but it sure looks gorgeous.  We're still unsure as to whether or not the cooperative play works in any sort of story mode, or if it's merely for the skirmishes.

Have to check out the demo when I get home, sort of reminds me of the top down combat that was on the Star Trek game on the Sega.
