I think pistols and knives are criminally under used in all modern games. Knives sometimes get one-hit stealth kills, sure, but how many FPS games have you played (in single-player especially) without ever using your pistol?? Yet again I'll call for a more realistic game where you rarely find firearms of any sort, and let the pistol be awesome once again.

I've been wanting to pick this game up for quite some time. Does anybody know if it will allow system-link AND split-screen (i.e. 2 Xboxes, 4 players)?

 RE:Battlefield Report: June 22, 2010
i used to play action quake 2 with knives all the time. people underestimate the power of being stealthy instead of guns blazing all the time. i've always liked pistols a lot too but most games only give you one option with really sucks.
i've been tempted to get R6V2 as well but i don't know how much we'd play it. can you do split-screen online?

Pistols are fun. Especially the one in Halo Combat Evolved.
The pistol that took out a thousand grunts and saved a galaxy from total destruction.

The RV Vegas games a pretty darn good shooters.
Nothing cooler than clearing a room by having a buddy break in from the opposite side not giving the opposition any time to react.
Awesome co-op stuff.

Awesome co-op stuff. Yeah, and the story mode offers plenty of opportunities for scenarios like that. My favorite is coming through a window via rappel while my brother enters from the hall door.

The pistols in the Vegas games were always a favorite of mine. I liked using them for style reasons if nothing else.

 RE:Battlefield Report: June 22, 2010
I really enjoyed the game for me, but it just got to repetitive for my taste in the story-mode and terrorist hunt was fun, but I'd prefer less random spawning and a more slower advance through the level, so that you are always fighting enemies ahead of you.
I hate the feeling that I'll clear out a house, but apparently there was some guy hiding in a closet (no closets in actual game), who only came out cause he stopped hearing his buddies screaming in pain.
