Omg Battletoads... how I loathe the 3rd level, I mean really was there any point in making it that hard?

Still one of the best games on the NES ever, and one that I usually dig up on my ROMs since my NES no longer works :(.

Indeed! Battletoads carries some of my favorite co-op memories. My brother and I used to play it for hours. We actually beat this one, and that was a major accomplishment as far as games go.

We were excited for the SNES version when it came out as well and were not dissapointed by that one either.

Yes, they were very challenging, but sometimes thats half the fun.

Battletoads has always been known for it's steep difficulty, but that makes victory all the sweeter, eh?

I was pretty young when the game came out on NES, so I opted to watch my brothers play it.

The difference between versus and co-op is that when you win in a versus game, it's at the expense of another player. When you win in a co-op game, everybody wins.

You need to experience the frustration yourself hehe, and yes when you do beat a level you feel a real sense of accomplishment.... of course that could be me and well as everyone knows I'm a geek just ask my wife lol.
