I actually posted this before I bought one (mine's about to run out, so great timing!). You're actually buying a voucher/coupon for $0 that allows you to buy a Gold Code from normal Amazon.com within the next 2 weeks. So even if you don't have the money today, you can buy the voucher for free, and the get the code in a few days.
