This has to be one of the best co-op experiences every of my past.

I remember my friend and I playing this back in 97 (or 96, i can't remember when it came out) and playing it all the way through.

We recently picked this up again, and so far have gotten through the first two episodes.

Man Duke was awesome.

Picked this up last week. Brought back so many memories. Went to play it last night and my progress wasn't saved. Relying too much on the autosave I guess! Oh well, didn't get very far anyway so no big deal. Haven't tried any co-op or deathmatch yet though.

It might not have saved your progress, but it unlocked the levels you already played, plus it saves every replay. Just go into your replays on the main menu and you can start from any point in any of the replays (i think you just hit X when you get in there). Its awesome.

It doesn't seem to like unlocking levels for me, I'm almost through the third chapter and half of the second chapter still isn't unlocked.

I believe it'll only save what you're doing in your current episode.

Meaning that if you jumped straight to the third chapter, it won't unlock chapter's 1 and 2. However if you already played through chapter's 1 and 2 and you can't jump to any level in there... I don't know what to tell you.

Yesterday I beat the first level on the hardest difficulty and wow, game can get hard. One shotgun blast from the piggies takes like 30% of your HP, makes looking for cover a real opportunity. And with the guys spawning every 30 seconds after you kill them makes for a difficult challenge, I found real use in the rewind spawn feature in single player. With all the guys floating around and beating the stage with 11hp left, I wasn't able to find any secrets, which in turn made me score lower than someone on my friends list who beat the game on easiest difficulty but found all them...I had 79 kills at the end as well.
