As far as I can tell, no items beyond level 48 exist.

Does anybody else have a problem with items displaying different level requirements while equipped as opposed to unequipped?

Dont think I have seen that either.

Okay, so I broke down and bought it tonight (stupid Best Buy reward points didn't post until the day after the B2G1 sale ended). Can't wait to try it with the lady tonight and will try to catch some of you throughout the week! I'll probably run one character with the lady, one with the kid and one for online.

Very cool man hope you enjoy it :).

My wife loves when we are in huge firefights and outgunned, I am not sure how far we are into the story but I think I just hit level 33 last night I get too caught up exploring everything that the time just flies by.

I started playing the game last night. Its quite cool, but I wasnt really paying attention or just unlucky, because the game kept giving me quests that were of higher level than me. So I died several times... also sometimes I cant see the dogs until they have damaged me... I dont think I'll be playing much single player anymore... also, I dont understand the "fight for your life" thing...

if you kill an enemy while you're down, you get a "second wind". you get a little health boost and its usually enough to let you run away to let your shields recharge and use a medpack. when you're playing co-op, your buddies can help you up much like in army of two or left4dead.

[edit]btw... has anyone else noticed that killing a boss does not give you a second wind? i forget which boss it was but my wife and i defeated him while we were both down and neither of us got a second wind so we just bled out... that SUCKED!

With some bosses I count on second-winds. When you die, you're basically invincible, and they walk straight up to you for easy headshots. It's almost cheating.

Had a funny thing happen to me last night with a boss.

I wont name names but anyway during the fight I got the boss to pursue me well he almost completely killed me, feeling remorseful for his life of misdeeds he decided to end his horrible existence by jumping off the platform we were on killing himself.... I kid you not he was at full health one second and the next thing I see is the quest pop up say TURN IN!.

I had a good laugh but never did find his body... oh when looking for his body I managed to fall off as well :P.

the more important question would be... where's the loot?

So despite all the commotion of having "gazillion guns," would anyone like to present their favorite weapon? (or favorite at the moment I should say) lol

I just 'dinged' to Level 20, so my weapon may look "weak" so to speak.

Personally I love the descriptions. The variety of scopes are awesome as well.

The first time I fired this thing was at a Badass Bruiser at point blank range. He flew 50ft away from me and lost about 85% of his health.

It's weapons like this that make me wish I had a chest/vault/bank to store things in.

I also greatly enjoyed the weapon combination of the Vladof Glorious Havoc (Me) and the Vladof Glorious Massacre (Other hunter). We found them in the same vending machine.

yeah, sledge's shotgun is fun, except for the accuracy (0%). i actually killed sledge with a shotgun that has less damage but 30% accuracy and i was excited when i picked up sledge's. that is until i tried to kill someone with it from 10 feet away. useless! i guess if you're lillith or brick it would come in handy but for me, the shotgun i already had does much better.

Well, it's primarily my "Oh no, something is going to knaw my face off" weapon, so accuracy doesn't tend to matter.

I also use it to kill midget psychos. Because shooting gnomes with shotguns is fun.
